| Overview |
|
One
of Peru's oldest and most prestigious Italian/Peruvian
schools had an image of providing well-rounded,
sound education yet even though it had an
excellent tech section in it's curricula,
not enough parents and potential students
knew about this. The school was losing business
because it's old Web Site was not conveying
the message they felt parents needed to
get. The objective was clear: to position
Antonio Raimondi
as a technologically advanced school that
served the needs of the administrative staff,
the teachers, the students and the parents.

|
Jensen
& Hughes completely redesigned the CIAR
Web Site. With the use of a robust database,
parent's can now interact with teachers
on-line, follow the student's statistical
academic progress, arrange parent-teacher
conferences and touch base with the administration
to inquire on accounts. Through XML, the
schools' portal now gets real.time news
directly from Italy's leading newspapers.

| |
|
| Impact |
|
| Through
access by way of a VPN, parent's can now
know their children's test score hours after
the student took them, students can surf
the Site and find anything from Italy's
national anthem on Mp3, to what's on the
menu for Tuesday's lunch. By providing pertinent
information on this Site, cost reduction
has been a significant outcome of this venture.
Now, on-line interaction between parents,
teachers and administration has improved
time management of the schools' personnel
by eliminating the amount of unnecessary
phone calls and visits. |
